We are thrilled to announce that Tobi’s Hawaii is sponsoring food and shave ice for the 20th Annual Ian Walsh Menehune Mayhem, taking place on May 4 & 5, 2024, at the beautiful Ho’okipa Beach Park.
Menehune Mayhem is a beloved two-day surf contest designed exclusively for Maui’s youth, aged 15 and under. But it’s more than just catching waves – it’s about fostering a sense of community, promoting academic success, encouraging healthy lifestyles, and nurturing environmental stewardship among our island’s young talents.
Beyond the thrilling surf competition, Menehune Mayhem offers a plethora of activities for kids to explore their creativity through art, music, and cultural experiences. Educational centers are also set up to enlighten children about the importance of environmental sustainability, ensuring they understand their vital role as stewards of our beautiful island.
Menehune Mayhem isn’t just another surf contest – it’s a testament to the spirit of giving back. Started by professional big wave surfer Ian Walsh as a way to give back to his Maui community, the event has grown exponentially over the years while maintaining its core values of inclusivity and generosity. From offering epic prize bags to every participant to awarding scholarships to deserving Maui students, Menehune Mayhem embodies the true essence of aloha.
We at Tobi’s Hawaii are honored to be part of this incredible event, supporting Maui’s youth as they ride the waves of life. So mark your calendars, gather your ‘ohana, and come join us at Ho’okipa Beach Park on May 4 & 5 for a weekend of surf, sun, and smiles! We will have a professional Maui Photographer on site taking photos and doing interviews.
